About Me
I am studying at the University of Toronto, where I will be entering my third year in the Engineering Science – Machine Intelligence Option program. I hope to be able to learn about and apply emerging AI technologies and apply them make an impact for those with limited access.
My role in the TRESL-Project
I am interested in the biomedical applications of these Telepresence Robots. I believe they will make medical consults and interactions with specialists much smoother and easier, especially for those patients in remote area. Instead of having the patient be flown into a major hospital (slow and expensive) or a specialist flown to the remote clinic (slow and expensive), the clinics would have these telepresence robots instead. The robots would be equipped with basic medical tools (which can be customized). With the help of nurses already present at the medical clinics, the application of TRESL robots would allow specialists to help patients faster and better!
