Workshop on Sensors
June 4, 2019
Athabasca University Edmonton
Funded by Athabasca University AVPR Special Research Funding
Sensors and Sensory system has been found more and more use with the advance of Internet of Things and Machine
Learning and Artificial Intelligence. This workshop is to welcome our academic visitor, Prof. Jose Villar from
University of Oviedo, Spain and also to provide opportunity for AU researchers to discuss the subject issues,
especially the technology applications in healthcare and education. All the AU researchers are welcome to
participate this academic research event in AU Edmonton. Following Prof. Villar's keynotes speech, AU researchers
are invited to give their presentations on their research works. Hopefully, through participating this workshop,
more AU researchers who have the interests and expertise in sensor and sensory technology, AI and Machine Learning,
Biosensor and applications, Health-informatics, and Healthcare and Nursing study can be engaged with the
multi-disciplinary research and the international research collaboration.
